Nutren Junior provides adequate nutrition that is key to a child's growth and development. When a child can't consume adequate calories from regular foods, this pediatric formula with whey protein provides complete nutrition to help support nutritional requirements. Nutren Junior formula contains 50% whey protein to support feeding tolerance. It also contains the CalciLock blend of essential nutrients to support healthy bone development. This nutrient blend includes calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, and vitamins D, C & K and is designed to support bone health. Although each individual nutrient has a specific role, the nutrients work together to provide the CalciLock benefit. Nutren Junior is gluten-free and lactose-free, but is not suitable for people with galactosemia. It can be used as a tube feeding formula or oral supplement
