Antimicrobial silver (Ag+) coated wound contact layer is a laminated polyurethane net, to help reduce microbial growth and prevent the dressing from sticking to the wound. 79 ppm of elemental silver is bound within the wound dressing to inhibit bacterial growth, which helps prevent colonization. Silver is effective up to three days within the wound dressing; silver ions remain in the wound dressing and do not migrate into the wound. Provides proven antibacterial effectiveness against microorganism (bacteria), enterococcus faecalis, escherichia coli, klebsiella pneumonia, proteus mirabilis, staphylococcus aureus, and streptococcus pyogenes.
